Susan M. Love, MD, MBA has dedicated her professional life to the eradication of breast cancer. What began as a career in the 1970’s quickly turned into a mission and as chief visionary officer of Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (DSLRF), Dr. Love oversees an active research program centered on breast cancer cause and prevention.
Launched in 2008, Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation’s Army of Women® is a revolutionary initiative changing the face of breast cancer research. Our goals are:

Dr. Susan Love, chief visionary officer of Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (DSLRF), became known as a trusted guide to women worldwide through her books. The most recent edition of Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Book was released September 2015.
Cancer cells are not loners. They communicate with each other, with the other cells in their neighborhood, and with cells in the entire universe of your body. Now, a flurry of basic research has led to new insights into this communication and an exciting new realm of investigation.
If it’s the end of May it must be time for ASCO! What’s ASCO, you ask? It is the American Association of Clinical Oncology annual meeting that is held in Chicago around this time of the year. Although the association is a professional organization based in the U.S., their annual meeting, which attracts more than 30,000 people, includes cancer docs hailing from more than 100 countries across the world.
As October comes to an end, we can put away our pink clothes for another year and focus on the real challenge....not awareness but action!
With Mother’s Day coming up, I have been reflecting on the experience of my own daughter. With two mothers who are surgeons, Katie grew up with casual dinner table conversations about all kinds of biological process and organs and diseases. Consequently, there is nothing that fazes her!
