Interested in using the Army of Women to recruit for your breast research study but not sure how to get started? Considering an upcoming RFP but have never heard of the Army of Women? The Army of Women has more than 371,000 people (~70% without a history of breast cancer) from throughout the country, eager to hear about YOUR study.

The Love/Avon Army of Women (AOW) is excited to provide an opportunity for researchers to learn more about the AOW initiative AND hear from Jennifer Ivanovich, MS, a researcher recruiting for her study via the AOW. Learn how Ms. Ivanovich and her co-PI, Dr. Paul Goodfellow, have benefited from recruiting via the AOW. This interactive Question and Answer webinar also features Leah Wilcox Eshraghi, Manager, Army of Women Research, who provided an overview of the AOW with study examples and discussed how to submit your application to the AOW and how the AOW can help you. The AOW is a program of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, funded through a grant from the Avon Foundation for Women, with the goal of accelerating research through a “just-in-time” tissue and data bank. To date, more than 371,000 people — those without a personal history of breast cancer, those at risk, and breast cancer survivors — have signed up to be part of the AOW by indicating their willingness to consider participation in research.

Love Research Army

We combat the disparities that exist in research by challenging the scientific community to launch studies that are as inclusive and diverse as the people that breast cancer affects.
