There’s no shortage of eblasts, tweets and notifications going out about websites providing information about COVID-19 for cancer patients and survivors. This is clearly important. Yet the fact remains we still know very little about COVID-19 and how it affects people in general—whether or not they’ve had cancer. That is why we agreed to work with Dr. Andrew Chan, a public health researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital, to spread the word about the COVID-19 Symptom Tracker app he and his colleagues developed. It is incredibly simple to use. You log into the app once a day and answer two questions: whether you have been tested and how you feel. It’s incredibly easy! Click here to download the app.
How can answering those two questions every day help Dr. Chan and other researchers learn about this new virus? Now is your chance to find out. On April 29 at 2:00pm PST, Dr. Chan will present a webinar on the COVID-19 Symptom Tracker app that will explain how using the app can help us learn more about this disease and give us guidance in the weeks and months to come. Click here to register for the webinar. Get your questions ready and spread the word to join us via Zoom or Facebook Live. And in the meanwhile stay safe!
