Types of Clinical Trials

Types of Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are research studies that enroll human volunteers. Without the hundreds of thousands of women who have enrolled in breast cancer clinical trials, we would not have the standard breast cancer treatments that we use today. Clinical trials provide high quality care. By taking part in a trial you may be one of the first patients to get a treatment that will one day be the new standard of care. You will also be helping researchers learn more about which treatments are most effective for different types of breast cancer. Learning about the structure and goals of each of the four phases of the clinical trials process can help you evaluate clinical trial options and determine whether a prevention, diagnostic or treatment trial is right for you.

Love Research Army

We combat the disparities that exist in research by challenging the scientific community to launch studies that are as inclusive and diverse as the people that breast cancer affects.
