A Strategic Communications Professional Brings a Passion for a Future Without Breast Cancer

May 10, 2017, Encino, CA – Dr. Susan Love Foundation for Breast Cancer Research announced today that Vanessa Schnaidt, group account director at Hershey Cause Communications, has joined the breast cancer research foundation’s board of directors. “Innovative partnerships with both the public and the scientific communities are critical to achieving groundbreaking results,” said Ms. Schnaidt. “I look forward to supporting the foundation’s efforts to leverage this bold, collaborative approach to achieve a future without breast cancer.”
Hershey Cause Communications is a mission-driven strategic communications agency that creates positive social change on behalf of companies, foundations, nonprofits, and the public sector. Dr. Susan Love Foundation for Breast Cancer Research will leverage Vanessa’s expertise in strategy development, media relations, marketing campaigns, messaging, and branding. Vanessa’s experience teaching professionals how to be effective communicators will also be of great value.
Prior to joining Hershey Cause, Vanessa held leadership positions at nonprofit organizations and grantmaking public charities, where she honed her skills in communications, branding, marketing, fundraising, and grassroots advocacy. Most recently, Vanessa served as the director of communications at Foundation Center, the leading authority on philanthropy worldwide, where she oversaw the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategies, working with partners as varied as the United Nations and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Vanessa graduated summa cum laude from Scripps College with degrees in Gender & Women’s Studies and Studio Art, and earned a Masters of Professional Studies in Arts & Cultural Management from Pratt Institute.
